POST CARE INFORMATION
Dermal Filler
During the first 24-48 hours after treatment you may experience redness, swelling and tenderness in the treated areas. These reactions are normal and should resolve quickly and spontaneously.
The following guidelines are recommended following your dermal filler treatment.
24 – 48 Hours
- It is best to avoid the use of make-up sponges, moisturizers, active products containing AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids/Glycolics), BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acids) or retinoid creams or gels.
- You may apply mineral make-up where necessary.
- Apply cool compresses to the treated areas to relieve swelling and possible bruising.
- Avoid drinking alcohol as it opens blood vessels and may increase bruising or swelling.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, and heat as may increase bruising.
- Drink regularly throughout the day. (Approx. 8 glasses of water are recommended daily).
- Avoid Omega (salmon oil, flaxseed oil tablets for 5 days)
+ 48 Hours
- Should you feel or see any lumps in the treated areas once swelling has subsided it is recommended that you gently massage the area carefully with clean fingers.
- Do not have facials, facial waxing, Glycolic or AHA peels, Liquid Nitrogen (dry ice) or Laser treatments for 10 – 14 days after injection with dermal fillers. Laser resurfacing is best done after dermal fillers have disappeared from skin.
