Structura
Structura is designed to lift without widening. By improving adipose (fat) tissue through “lipolifting” Structura helps restore facial structure, lifting and supporting the mid-face, thereby reducing wrinkles and giving a general improvement in the overall appearance of the skin.
It is the only product on the market to reverse the ageing of the fat cells in the face. Superficial fat cell breakdown is responsible for a lot of the contour changes we see on the face as we age and by reversing this process you create lift and a rejuvenated look.
So what is Structura?
Structura offers patients the opportunity not to radically change their appearance; but to improve their look, correct small defects and have a fresher overall appearance.

It works on a cellular level enhancing collagen, elastin and restored fat cells to enhance the superficial fat layer in the face.
The ideal patients are characterised as either Sinkers or Saggers.
If you have a thinner skin and tissue density, increased visibility of your underlying bone structure giving a sunken in or hollowed out appearance you are more than likely a Sinker.
While if your skin is thicker or denser, there is some laxity, and your jowls are an area of concern, or you feel heavier towards the lower half of your face, you might be a Sagger.
These categories help guide the Practitioner in their treatment approach and discussion with the patient. But ultimately each treatment will be tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
Sinkers may need more structural support laterally to enhance that sunken in appearance, while saggers need horizontal and vertical lifting to counteract the changes in fat as they age.
The result however will not be a widening of the face which can sometimes occur with traditional fillers.
How long does a treatment take?
While an appointment is 30 minutes, there are very specific injection points used and the actual treatment takes only 10 minutes. It is relatively pain free and there is no downtime required.
How many treatments will I need and what is the cost?
Structura involves 2 treatments spread 30+ days apart. The cost per treatment is $900.
How long will the treatment last?
It is recommended to repeat annually, but the treatment can be repeated every six months.
What side effects can Structura cause?
The common injection related side effects are localised and temporary, and may include one or more of the following:
- Swelling, redness and/or slight bruising
- Occasionally itching, pain/tenderness, or increasing swelling
- Rare risks such as blindness, loss of blood supply to an area of skin and infection associated with the filler product have been reported in literature. These are treatable if managed appropriately.
PROFHILO® STRUCTURA is a class 3 medical device and must be injected by a medical practitioner or a qualified nurse injector (operating under the supervision of a medical practitioner).
PROFHILO® STRUCTURA [4.5% – 22.5 mg (H-HA) + 22.5 mg (L-HA)/1 ml Hyaluronic acid sodium salt and 4.5% – 45 mg (H-HA) + 45 mg (L-HA)/2 ml Hyaluronic acid sodium salt], injection gel in a single use sterile prefilled syringe. It is indicated for adults of both sexes for corrective / filling action of natural or induced skin depressions.

WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS: Do not use PROFHILO® STRUCTURA in case of known hypersensitivity or allergies to the components of the product. Do not use it in pregnant or breast-feeding women, in patients with autoimmune diseases. Do not inject intravascularly, into the muscles or tendons, or for breast enlargement.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: PROFHILO® STRUCTURA must not be used in conjunction with treatments such as laser resurfacing and medium-deep peeling. Tell your doctor if any side effects concern you.
